Brightheart

I drew this a long time ago... it's from a book called Warriors, about these clans of cats in this forest.

In this book you are first a kit, (kitten, ex. brightkit) then an apprentice, and you get the name PAW, ( ex. brightpaw)

then, depending upon what you were in training to be, you become a medicine cat or warrior. either way, you got a last name.
(ex. brambleclaw, spicefur <3 ,longtail, mousefur, fireheart, brightheart, etc. etc. etc.)

and if you become the leader, you get the last name star, and nine lives. (ex. bramblestar, spicestar, longstar, bluestar, mousestar, firestar, etc.)

This beautiful young apprentice , named Brightpaw, went out to fight the dogs that were terrorizing her clan, you know, so her clan's leader would make her a warrior.

So, she was an apprentice,
and she wanted to show how brave she was,
so she went to attack the dogs with her pal, Swift-paw.

(for some reason f-t-p-a-w seems to be a link, so I had to put "-" between swift and paw.)

The dogs attacked them, Swift-paw died, and Brightpaw lost an ear and an eye.
Later, her clan went looking for her, and they found her bleeding to death on a rock, 100% unconscious.

The clan's medicine cat, Cinderpelt, I think it was, started nursing her back to health, but the clan leader, Bluestar, was sure she would die.

Bluestar had been losing faith in their warrior ancestors for some time, so she was feeling pretty lousy.

There was a special ceremony, that if an apprentice was going to die, you could make them a warrior before that, even if they hadn't completed their training.

So Bluestar gave her the name lostface.

but bluestar was wrong. lostface (brightpaw) didn't die.

and lostface absolutely HATED her new name.

later, when bluestar died, the new leader, firestar, changed her name to brightheart.

Brightheart really loved that.

and that is the story of Brightheart.

Blustar, brightkit, brightpaw, brambleclaw, longtail, mousefur, fireheart, brightheart firestar, swi[link] cinderpelt, and lostface are all owned by Erin Hunter, auther of Warriors.
